A Memorial Service for longtime resident of Conroe, Virginia Agnes Smith Hoke, 82, will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 10 am at First United Methodist Church in Conroe with the Rev. She passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018 at Abundant Life Assisted Living. She is survived by her loving family: Daughter and son-in-law, Darlice and John Bridwell; Son and daughter-in-law, David and Michelle Hoke; Grandchildren, Sarah and Sam Hoke; Brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Estelle Shook; Nephew and niece-in-law, Andy and Yolanda Walker; Nephew and niece-in-law, James and Theresa Walker; Sister-in-law, Eulice Hoke Vial; and Niece, Laurie Vial Amsler.
Her nickname was “Honey.” She graduated from Stephen F. She had a successful and gratifying career as an educator for over 15 years. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends. Hoke enjoyed her sweet spirit and grateful attitude. Hoke was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother who loved life and people. Memorial Service for John Robert Ballou of Spring, Texas will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at A. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with Bishop Clyde E. John was born on March 20, 1982 in Conroe, Texas to Calvin and Linda Ballou.
Interment will follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories cemetery.

James Okert (Jim) passed away on Thursday, May 3, 2018 after courageously battling a serious illness, succumbing to pneumonia and a major heart attack. Air Force (air police) and worked for TSO in Northline then Dr. Jim is survived by his loving wife, Judy Okert; sons, Danny Okert and wife, Faye and Michael Okert; Danny’s children, Kasey Ganzevoort and husband, Brandon and their children, Jacob and Mary; and Kody Okert; Michael’s daughter, Makaela Okert and finance’, Richard Bain. Donnel was born on May 11, 1947 in Los Angeles, CA and passed away on May 3, 2018 at home in Conroe. Donnel proudly served in the Army during the Vietnam War.
